The Huidevettershuis « a rich history »
The Guildhall of the Tanners goes back to 1450. The rich
tanners turned the hides into much demanded leather. It was restored to its
actual condition in 1630. In 1985 Tillo and Linda Declercq opened their
restaurant with Flemish cuisine along the Brugean canals.
A scene with views on the « brugean canals »
All salons offer a grandstand view on the “Brugean canals”.
The interior holds on to its authentic historical character. You will be served
in 4 separate halls of the 17th that seat 165 persons: Tannershall,
Leather-curry hall, Zoutkaai and ‘t Dreveken.
“a la carte” – “banquets” – “meetings” – “theme
dinners”
The arrangement of the salons
allows perfectly an “à la carte” restaurant or a group event. Our chef enjoys
serving you typical “Flemish dishes” next to regional products in season with an
innovating touch.
